
King Von (real real name Dayvon Daquan Bennett) was born August 9, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois, to Walter Bennett and Taesha. As a child of his mother, he had three siblings, while the father had six half-siblings. Bennett was mostly nurtured by his mother , due to the frequent times his father was in prison. When he was 11, his father was killed and later killed. Bennett was sentenced to his 16th year being in jail. This was the beginning of a series of encounters with police. Afterward, he got some college credits from South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois. To try to reform himself in the wake of legal problems, Bennett began pursuing his professional career in music and collaborating regularly with his fellow rapper Lil Durk.Although "Welcome to O'Block" was the sole studio album Von made during his life The posthumous album "What it means to be King" came out posthumously in March of 2022.
